Cannas are valued mostly for their large tropical foliage and showy, brilliantly colored flowers. The foliage is as ornamental as the flowers and comes in a many colors including green, coppery, purplish or striped. Tall cannas are excellent for background border plantings and will grow in most soil types provided that good fertilization and irrigation is provided. Dig and store for winter in zones 3-7. |
