Acidenthera (Gladiolus
callianthus)
Stalks of fragrant white
flowers with brown centers make this a unique addition to your garden.
These bulbs bloom later than many other summer-flowering bulbs.
They require a well-drained soil and a warm spot in the garden.
Dig and store for winter in zones 3-7 (if stored in the light, the bulbs
turn green; if stored in the dark, they remain white). They can
also be planted in containers and, combined with blue lobelias and
helichrysum, they make a beautiful display.
