You can enjoy the beauty of combination planting flowerbulbs in 12-inch containers for your balcony, patio or entranceway.  All that is required is a container about 6-8" deep with a diameter of 10-15".  Put some gravel or medium sized rocks in the bottom for drainage and fill it with some soil.  Then, plant your bulbs and cover with soil.  Water well and leave it on your balcony or patio (unless it gets extremely cold outside).

Planting & Fertilizing
It is extremely important to make sure there is good drainage where you plant your bulbs and that you fertilize the bulbs 3 times with a well-balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer.  Fertilize once when planting, once when they just come above the surface and once right after flowering.
