Alliums - 'Flowering Onions'

Alliums are excellent for planting in groups or in a border. Some have flower heads that dry very well. Grow the shorter species at the front of a border or in a rock garden. Many seed freely and naturalize very well. Avoid waterlogged soil. Several species also have culinary uses. Excellent perennializers.

Planting & Fertilizing

It is extremely important to make sure there is good drainage where you plant your bulbs and that you fertilize the bulbs 3 times with a well-balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer.

Fertilize once when planting, once when they just come above the surface and once right after flowering.
